What are the ways that you have
supported kaiako over the last
three terms?

Given them space to explore their own
passions and areas of interests. Done
visioning work with them to enable them
to understand changes and move with us.
What are the ways you think you
need to support kaiako over the
coming term?

To work with those staff who are difficult and
resistant. To develop accountability for staff
and capabilities of staff.
What do you think are your
leadership strengths?

I think supporting people to be themselves
and explore areas that they are interested in.
To allow innovation in staff, and to support
innovation in staff. To coach and work alongside
staff to reach desired goals. To balance staff at
all areas of their own learning continuum.
Are there areas of leadership within
that you would like to develop?

I would like to develop some more empathetic
leadership, and trying to see other people’s
perspectives and take those into account.
What steps have you taken to grow
your own leadership this year?
I have worked with other leaders both inside
and outside of school. I have explored
opportunities offered to me through book club
and through conferences. I have read and
accessed professional learning through networks.
What is your leadership vision, plan
and goals for yourself over the next
year? 5 years? 10 years?
I would like to develop my knowledge around
change management further, around visioning
and supporting teachers through change. I would
like to be a principal of a small school, and try out
some of the things I have learned through the
change management.
What support would you like from
SLT to support you in growing your
leadership?
I would like any opportunities that can be afforded
to explore and examine change management and
some of the best practices to vision and guide staff
through a visioning process. Going through the
process is one thing, but I would love some tools
to better deal with it.
