Excited by possibilities of individual programmes

Wary of traditional programmes and the idea of learing only taking place inside them.

What did I see?

  • Students working on computers individually
  • Students sitting on couches
  • Snakes/animals
  • Farmyard setup
  • Student work celebrated
  • Library with hardly any books. 
Implications for Kōrepo:
  • First name basis
  • 0 Homework
  • photos of kids - talking about their wellbeing during team meetings.
  • passion based experiential projects. 
  • Tapping into outside experts
  • Animals around to develop empathy
  • Music - instruments not locked away. 
  • Making their own guitars
  • School run by children
  • learning design run by kids.
